It is heating but nothing is getting dry. There is nothing in the lint filter either I see a fan in the pics about this but no motor for it or does it have a motor as part of the fan? Could that be the problem?

Dragon,

The blower wheel is driven by the motor, which also drives the drum, so if the drum rotates, the motor is OK.

You most likely have a clogged exhaust vent, in the wall. an easy check, disconnect the venting from the dryer exhaust pipe, lower back center of the dryer cabinet, and check the heat and drying performance with the vent off.
If it performs satisfactory, have the venting cleaned.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)

I have the same issue...my dryer is producing heat, but the clothes are steaming when the cycle completes and there's moister dripping from the control panel which causes the door lock light to come on. I cleaned out the dry exhaust pipes but my problem is still occurring. I was thinking that it is the blower because I could not fill any air blowing from vents when the dry is running, after I had them cleaned..… What else should l be looking for on my whirlpool duet dryer?

Ran,
You most likely have a vent issue(still). Try this, disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer. Open a window or door, and dry a load of clothes. If the load drys proper, there little or no condensation in or on the dryer, you have a vent issue, and will need to check the vent hood, length and condition of the vent system.
