Model:GSL25JFRF BS Serial:GH217579 Is this one covered for a mother board replacement? What do you do when no service and repair manual is available?

Model: GE PFS22SBSBSS Serial #: AL059537 Purchased 04/2006 Control Board: GECP DOM - EBX1069P005 WKKT Model No.: 0158-04-03 GEA Part No.: 200D4860G015
I have a problem similar to dokken. Condensor fan spins slowly or not at all. Measured 13.5 VDC at pin 8 on J2 and 4 VDC at pin 5 on J2. Unplugged fan and pin 5 went to 13.5 VDC. Cooled condensor with external fan and pin 2 dropped slowly from 0.4 VDC to 0.0 VDC after condensor shut off. Voltage at pin 4 (evap motor) at 10.15 VDC also dropped slowly to 0.0 VDC after condensor shut off. I called GE consumer relations (800 386 1215) and after navigating through their system, I was told that there would be no cost for service call and board replacement.

Hi there, I found this forum last night after my fridge started clicking every five seconds and warming up. :(
The building I live in is not yet two years old (same goes for the appliances). This morning when I spoke with the building manager to see if anyone else had the same issue, she said that hers started clicking a few weeks ago. The problem (just like this forum suggests) was the control board, which needed to be replaced at a cost of about $300.
Abadfish66, if you are still out there, could you tell me if my board would be covered under warranty, or what the replacement part number would be? (Model: GDS20KBSBBB)
Also, what does one need to say, or who should one talk to in order to get this warranty??

Seveneven...Your board is covered and will be replaced free of charge as long as it's under 3 years old. Just call GE at 1-800-432-2737 and schedule a repair, let them know it is a no cool refer and they will get someone there asap. No need to mention anything to them about any thing other than that. The call takers do not have the info I do, but the service tech that comes out will, so you are good to go. Hope that helps.

Not sure about your building managers refer. If hers did not fall under the model# and serial# range then she got charged correctly.

Abadfish66...thanks for the fast response!
I'm in Canada - will that exclude me from warranty coverage? My building manager contacted Mabe at 1-800-361-3400 (which was the contact info listed on the refer manual). If I contact GE directly using the number you listed, will I stand a better chance?

I don't know how that would work, all the warranty info says for the United States only and all I have is based in the USA. Don't you guys up there use 240 volts to run refrigerators there? I know GE manufactures refers for Canada, and they are 240 volts.

Hmmm...well the fridge I've got is 120V. Maybe 240V is used for older buildings?
I guess that I will contact GE Canada and see what they say...thanks for your help! If you come across any warranty lists for Canada, let me know... :)
