Ice maker stopped 1 mo. ago. Defrosting fixed temporarily. Ultimately brought valve assembly from ApplienacePartsPros but did not solve problem. More complete symptoms: after restart, worked for 1 -2 days but with erratic cycling and mis-shapened cubes and then stopped mid-cycle. Before playing more with it, am trying to assess likelyhood of this being a circuit board issue (water dispenser works fine) or within the icemaker (motor/ themostat). Kithen Aid customer service not helpful.

Logical supplemental question. AppliancePartsPros parts list shows the ice maker as a series of parts. Can a complete replacement unit be purchased?

Thanks for any input that can be given.

Replace the CONTROL MODULE, It WILL fix it!!!!!!!!:)
