This dryer has worked great until last night. There has not been a change of electric or gas supply. The drum works but there is not heat. The dryer is clean and free of lint. What could be causing this, how can this be repaired by do it yourself?

Before you go crazy, do this first. Unplug the dryer, and take the back panel off, and there will be a white part that is about an inch and a half long, by a half inch wide. That is the thermal fuse. Pull the 2 wires off of it, and put the terminal ends together, and then tape them up, so they do not hit metal, and then plug the dryer in and see if it heats. If it does, DO NOT RUN the dryer that way. That thermal fuse is the only thing stoping the dryer from burning down the house. If it does not work, follow Gene's advise. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
