Maytag gas dryer will heat on timed cycle only. If door is opened mid cycle, then no heat the remainder of cycle. Dryer has to sit for 30 mins or so, then we can start again. The timer does move on this cycle. I have replaced the set of coils. Any other suggestions?

That is a strange one.

Wonder if it's something with the timer.
