R,
You'll need to dismantle the machine, from the front, and basically remove everything in the cabinet(almost anyway). You can do that with basic hand tools, but you'll need a small pair of "tru arc" pliers to remove the clips holding the rollers on the shaft.
You do need to turn the power off to the dryer, or unplug the power cord.
Open the door and remove the center screw of each hinge secured to the inner flange of the front panel in the door opening.
Grasp the door with both hands and lift the door up in the hinge area and draw the door assembly away from the machine. This will disengage the hinges from the slots in the front shroud assembly.
Remove the plastic hinge hole covers on the opposite side of the door opening. These screws, secure the front panel to the shroud assembly.
To remove the front panel, grasp the "goal Posts" of the front panel 3/4 of the way down and pull the front panel away from the dryer. Tip the top of the front panel away from the machine and lift the front panel off the 2 retainer clips on the bottom of the cabinet front.
Locate and remove the 2 5/16 " screws securing the 2 hold down brackets to the cabinet flange and remove the 2 hold down brackets from the slots, securing the top to the cabinet.
You'll need to disconnect the wire harness fronm the light and door switch, and unclip the harness from the retainer clip.
Remove the four outer perimeter screws, holding the shroud and tumbler front support to the to the cabinet.(leave the four inner screws in place) lift up and out on the front shroud and tumbler support, while partially lifting the top cover up.
To remove the tumbler, insert your left arm qlong side the tumblet(at approximately the 8 o'clock position, and the right hand arm at the 5 o'clock position. Grasp the idler pulley with your left hand and pull upward and to the left, slip the drive belt off the motor pulley, you can slip the belt off the back of the tumbler, or lift up on the top, and use the belt to assist in lifting the tumbler out of the cabinet front.
You now have access to all the suspension and drive components.
The rear tumbler support rollers are located at the bottom of the rear bulkhead assembly and both should be repalced.
Remove the retaining ring(using the tru arc pliers)from the groove in the shaft, remove the fibre washer and slide the roller off the shaft, be careful and don't loose the spring washer or fibre washer on the back side of the roller, clean the shaft with a rag.
Reverse the procedure and check for opration,
When you install the belt, rotate the tumbler a few revolutions to align the belt and motor pulley, before installing the front shroud/tumbler support.
Good Luck,
:) :) :)
