We have a GE model # WJRR4170G2WW. The agitator doesnt turn during the wash cycle. Instead the whole drum rotates. Any help would be much appreciated.

Most likely the problem is a bad mode shifter (#320 on the diagram).

Remove the washer front panel and count the number of the signal LED flashes (under the motor's drip shield). Post the results.

Sorry for the delay.

Four blinks means that the mode shifter coils failed. The correction is to replace the mode shifter.
