I have a maytag dishwasher. When I try to hit normal wash, the light will not come on. The light will come on when you hit Heavy wash, but it will still not start. I purchased a new latch assembly, but it still seems to do the same thing. Do I have to put all the screws back in for it to start. I only put a few in to hold door in place and then tried but it did not work. What else could the problem be? The latch had been broken for awhile but the dishwasher still worked so I did not replace it.
