when i start the dryer nothing happens

First check the easy things: Is there 220VAC at the outlet? Also check for clogged vent/lint screen. Next check for loose or disconnected wires at the wiring block (unplug machine for this). Look for a broken door switch tab. If all these things check out as they should, the problem lies inside with a component or more.
