Kris, there is a thermal fuse on the metal box that houses the element. It is near the top and has two wires going to it. Before you go buy it you need to check it and here's how. Take a wire off one side then touch both terminals with an ohm meter. If you do not get a reading then you should replace that fuse as well as the thermostat at the bottom of the element housing too. Should come as a kit.
