I just moved into the house and the dishwasher was included. It's a GE Profile Quiet Power III. We've done a couple cycles now and the water does not want to drain. There is about 2-3 inches left in the bottom. I thought at first that something might be blocked, so i checked all my hoses and water can escape freely. I noticed that there is a difference between the Quiet II and III, being that i have something called a "Pump Dual" AP2039447. What is it's purpose? Also, there is a "Valve Flapper" AP2038445, which i was told by the previous owner, could be the problem. Or, would my problem just be the pump and motor? (On a side note, i can't see the diagrams for my model when looking at the parts, the breakdown diagrams that is). I need some help!

First off, when you start the machine you do hear water spraying around right?
Is there an airgap on the sink the dishwasher drains through, and then to the disposer, or does it drain straight into the disposer?

I am pretty sure the water is being sprayed around right. The drain is plugged directly to the sink.

Does your sink have a disposer, is that where the drain goes to, or just the sink?
Take the drain hose off the sink and stick the end in a bucket, start the dishwasher and after about 30 seconds hit reset or cancel whichever you have, does all the water drain out into the bucket, is there a trickle or nothing at all?

It's plugged under the sink into the sinks drainage piping. Once i get home, i'll start a cycle and cancel and see what happens and tell you the results from there.

I verifed the hoses, no clogs. I did the reset/cancel and does in fact drain. However, the problem seems to happen every 3 or 4 cycles.
