(pretty sure of model number but it could,be AYG2200AGW - very poor line.)
Complaint of taking too long to dry - customer has to put clothes on twice to dry. Customer adamant that it is heating.
apart from the obvious things like a blockage internal or on vent, OC/faulty heater, tripped safety stat
Already had one wasted journey and want to minimise the risk of another.....
Pointers or ideas would be appreciated

Pointers or ideas would be appreciated Rocket, Based on your post, this should be an electric dryer ? You may want to check or re check : Are you sure you have 220/240 VAC and your not on a 208 VAC ? Check the tumbler seals for tears or holes, Check the lint filter housing to the blower housing seals for a tight fit. Check the tumbler RPM (50 rpm +/- 2). Check Red to Blue terminals on the temp. selector switch, it should be an open circuit on the high heat setting. Check the resistor on the timer for 3.7 ohms resistance. At the regulating thermostat, check each terminal to ground for an open circuit. A closed circuit would indicate a bad thermostat. Other than checking the exhaust temperature for an average of 150 dgrs, on the high heat setting, that's just about everything I know of to check. :) :) :)
