I have a thintwin that keeps filling till it overfills. I found the posts about the water level switch and tube that runs down the tub. I had thought it was the timer which controlled the water level, before learning about this part since I could switch it over to spin and it would drain it out. If I blow into the tube while it is filling it does not shut the water off so I will order the water level switch AP2947148.
Today however it quit switching over to the spin cycle as well to drain out the water when I turn it to there manually? Did I mess up the timer part as well while trying to trouble shoot it. I pulled the timer out a few times since that is the only way to get the water to stop filling. Should I go ahaed and order it as well? part # AP2975378
Could it still be a different part as well?
Thanks for your help.

Lane,

Are you sure you didn't dettach any of the wires at the timer ? are you sure the wires are on the correct terminals ?

I didn't see where you may have shorted anything in your thread.

Unless something else happenned, I don't see how the timer was affected, by the tests and checks you made, other than a loose or crossed wire.

You've pretty much have any fill problems coverred with the timer and water level switch, other than the fill valve, it doesn't sound like you need one.

I would double check the wiring at the timer block, make sure it's installed and clipped in properly, before you forgo the timer replacement, also make sure the air dome hose is not kinked or twisted.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)
