Dccory, Are you talking about the evaporator motor or the condenser motor? Do you have a refrigerator thermometer? Can you tell me what the temperature is inside both the freezer and the fresh food section?

dccory,
If the compressor and fan motor are running however it doesn't get cold it could be the cold control or a problem in the sealed system.
If you have an ohmmeter you might check continuity on the cold control. It should have continuity when turned all the way up and no continuity with it turned all the way down.
For sealed system problems you will need to call a licensed technician to handle freon

dccory, Were you able to figure out the problem? I am having the same problem with a Kenmore upright. I had the problem a few weeks ago and I noticed it had ice build-up on the bottom. I cleaned it out and it was working fine until this morning when I saw alot of water on the floor. Now it's blowing cold air again. I'm thinking it could be the thermostat. Please let me know your findings. Thanks, Vince mazzov@hotmail.com
