Thanks for sharing the information on the pump. We had trouble
With it pausing and it wouldn't finish washing. We had cleaned the
filter and it still wouldn't work. So last night I found this site and
Seen the info on the pump, so my husband and I went back at it
Taking the panel off on the bottom removing filter/pump and found
a dime and a pellet stuck in the propeller on the pump, removed it
put it back and it works great.. Actually is spinning out like it did
When we first purchased it. I'm so happy we didn't have to
hire a repair guy! Thanks for the help :)

We have a GE WBVH624HWW washer that had a similar issue. It would stop during the drain cycle and flash the stop/start button. Hitting start again usually continues the cycle, for a while, and it tended to stop again.

I pulled off the lower service cover, drained the water and removed the front drain, found small rocks, lots of lint, even bandages. We have kids that leave anything and everything in their pockets. After cleaning, it still wasn't draining.

I removed the drain pump assembly, disconnected the pump, and reconnected the leads. On a drain cycle, the pump spins as expected. When I attached it to the assembly and connected the hoses, it tended to lock up and get hot instead of turning and pumping water.

I can't see anything in the assembly that could prevent it from spinning, and now it seems to be working fine. A new pump assembly is maybe $150, though our home warranty deductible is only $75. If the issue isn't consistent, I've thought that maybe the pump motor is going out and working intermittently.
