The ice maker is not even filling with water. I checked the water solenoid for the ice tray water and it is working fine. I have made sure that all of the trays are in place and that the control arm is in the correct position. I don't have a wiring skematic so I'm not sure where the water solenoid valve gets it's electrical source from. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

the water solenoid gets its voltage from the ice maker when it calls for water anyway the icemaker on some whirlpools has been known to break so check the gear on the front of the ice maker make sure there arent no broken pieces
