MY OVEN IS NOT WOKRING!!! I went to bake some cobbler and turned on my oven and went to put it in and my oven was COLD! I thought maybe it was the igniter and I got down to the broiler and tried to light it with a lighter and still nothing.  I think  I can smell gas but I am not sure. Hubby, who is a roofer not a repair man, thinks it could be the safety valve. I would really like to know what it really could be and not just  GUESS  at the problem. I would be so greatful:) if someone would be able to tell me what this could be without spending a ton of money. For 400 bucks, I can get a new one.

The ignitor is probably bad it should glow red hot and draw 3.2-3.6 amps to open the valve With electronic ignitor trying to light it with a lighter will never work.

Here's the breakdown of your unit. Model JGBS04PEA2WHIf you are smelling gas then I would say the ignitor is not getting hot enough to light the gas. Unfortuneately you can not light an oven like this with a lighter. Nat
