My fairly new Whirlpool Accubake oven/range shut down completely while baking and will not come back on. The digital display for all oven use completely shut down. The stove top works fine but no oven. Anybody know what is going on?

A model number may help others help you
Model Number Locator

Could be a number of things.

Many units have an overheat thermostat attached either to the top or back of the oven which can cause problems.

If the oven is indicating that it is ready when it is not it could be the oven sensor.

There are other possibilities depending on the wiring.

Thanks for the reply. Where would the model # be locate? I looked inside the door and located what appeared to be a serial number. Nothing works on the control panel not even the clock the screen has no power. the only thing that works is the stove top.

Unit does show a thermal fuse Item 26 in Section 3, but I think it is the one for just the broil element.

If you look at the wiring diagram Page 6-1 it also does show a none resettable fuse as part of the brown wire going to the control board.

Not sure I totally trust the wiring diagram as it shows a separate power supply which I cannot find in the parts. They may well still have an inline fuse built into one of the wires.

So a non resetable fuse has to be replaced? Would that fuse cause the whole display board to go out? Thanks for the manual by the way. According to Whirlpool agent on phone such a manual does not exist. go figure. Also this type of problem doesn't officially exist with these units despite the many threads that say it does.

Not 100% sure on this but since it shows it in a power supply line I would say yes. Not even sure that you have one but it is well worth a look.
Often they are just a bulge in a wire.
