My dishwasher leaks, only a little and not every time it runs (or at least it is not obvious every time!). The leak appears on the top of the bottom panel on one side only and runs down the front of the bottom panel. I assumed the door gasket was faulty and ordered a new one. However, once I pressed the new gasket in place, I could no longer latch the door. Is there a trick to seating the gasket?

That makes perfect sense, and had occured to me, BUT! I an UNABLE to push hard enough to latch it. How is this problem overcome with NEW dishwashers? Does a robot close the door and then it's cycled several times, before being offered for sale? Thanks for the advice. I guess I need someone with brute strength!
