I have a Maytag front loading dryer. The control panel will not respond to any requests, no lights, no responses. I was told that this could be a pc board. What would cause the control panel to stop working and how can I fix it?

If the unit seems totally dead.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
[COLOR="Red"]Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! [/COLOR]

Note: If the interior light works then L1 to Neutral is OK and this is the half of the line that runs the control board.

Then the first thing to check would be the door switch.

I have checked the L1 and L2, both are good. The manufacturer suggested that I replace the control panel board. How do I take off the front of the dryer to check the door switch and the connections to the front panel?
