Hi. I need some help here. My dryer will run for around 2-3 minutes and then shuts off. almost seems like it is getting too hot. I bought a new motor and vent fan, replaced them both and it is still doing the same thing. any suggestions? Thanks, Scott King

Thanks, Scott King Scott, When you replaced the motor and blower fan, Did you check the drum rollers, idler pulley and front slides for debris or damage, worn belt, causing excess drag on the motor ? You may have a voltage supply problem ? Being an electric dryer, you need to maintain a constant, minimum voltage of 105 volts on both legs of the power cord, when the dryer is started(motor surge)and or running. (amps will surge up to as much as 15 to 18 amps at surge and drop to 3 to 4 amps when motor is in run mode). Do you have a meter(s) to test voltage and amperage at the power cord when the dryer is attempting to start or running ? That's where I would start, after replacing the parts you have, and still having the same problem.
