I've done it before, the switch is not problem it's the wire from the right rear to the left rear. Do I remove the white plastic top of the drum assy? Or just tough it out? Thanks for any and all help

It is mounted on the right rear, the wire slips into a conduit or track to keep it out of the way of the washer drum and runs to the left rear where it plugs into the wiring harness. I'm not sure how a tech would do it. How hard it is to take the top cover off.
