The latch has broken free from door. What must be removed to replace and what difficulty might I encounter in doing so?
Thank you.

Thank you. In order to access your door latch assembly, first you will need to remove power from the unit. You will then need to remove the plastic inner door liner, then you will have access to the door latch and handle assemblies in the control panel. I don't belive the latch itself is broken, but the tabs on the handle, which actually control the latch lock and unlock sequence probably are. Though it is a simple repair, it can be very frustrating. it has been easier to install the latch assembly on the tub strike (as if the door was closed and locked)then insert the tabs on the handle into the guide track on the latch assembly then slowly and carefully unlatch the mechanism from the tub strike and reverse the procedure to re install the parts. I have attached the handle part number and description for your convenience Part number: AP4264452
