Does anyone know if the bake element on a Frigidaire Gallery range can be replaced from inside the oven? The bake element won't heat, but the broiler element and the cooktop elements are fine. The control panel also seems normal. When I set the oven, the temp display is normal and the "oven" and "preheat" lights come on - but the bake element remains cold. I assume it needs to be replaced. Thanks!

Yes, the bake element is accessible from the front. Remove the power from the range, remove the screw on each side of the bake element and carefully pull it out without forcing the wires. Check for burned out wires. Remove one of the wires from the bake element and check continuity on the bake element. Replace if it's open. If there is nothing wrong with the wires and the bake element, then replace the control board. - The part number for the bake element is AP3776837 - The part number for the control board is AP3854311 - The part number for the control board overlay is AP3776841 Good luck. Gene.
