I am attempting to install a oven bake element (Part Number AP436505). There are two wires that are connected to the current element, one on each side. Can these be removed by hand? I did not want to break anything, because I tried to to pull these out with little force. please assist. Thank you.:confused:

Yes they can be removed.

If you are sure the element is toast, you can grab the element's connector or element on the element side with a pair of needle nose or regular pliers.
Then with a flat screwdriver wedged between the pliers and the female connector push the connector back off the element's male connector.
