My WP DW had the blinking clean (7x) light. Replaced the heating element and high limit switch - cleared the light using the - normal/heated dry reset sequence. Started to run a cycle seemed to run ok then heard it draining and light is still blinking 7x - any feedback appreciated.

Did you check the heating element for continuity prior to replacing it?
"...cleared the light using the - normal/heated dry reset sequence..." - can you describe it more detailed, please?

Yes - it was good but replaced it anyway due to age of DW - also replaced High Limit Switch - could it be Control Panel?
