Ice maker does not work - there is water in the door but no water entering the ice maker. This is what we have done so far:
Replaced ice maker Replaced infared sensor boards Replaced water inlet valve Replaced water filter
Used hair dryer to check for frozen line - does not appear to be frozen
You can manually pore water into the ice maker and it will freeze and dump the ice into the ice bin.
You can hear the motor in the ice maker cycle but no water comes into the ice maker.

Odd...... might want to try the control board located behind the refrigerator on the frig side behind a metal panel. Its the larger but cheaper $200 board left side when looking at it. The other is a power supply board. No guarantee but it sounds like the inlet valve isnt getting tbe signal for water. Another cause could be a broken wire that runs down the door through the bottom freezer door hinge and under the freezer. There is a connector there and one of the wires that triggers the water valve could be broken. Try reaching under there and jiggle the wire. If the wire reconnects you ll hear the psolenoid valve open and water shooting in. If this works next step is to try to figure out which wire in the bu ndle is broken. Seems to be a poor design as the wire moves everytime the door opens.
