Had a problem with washer not spinning all the water out. Did an extra spin and drain cycle on a few different loads. Eventually the washer was left with water left in the tub. I've checked for obstructions and found a couple Bobby pins. Removed those and tried again. Went through all the cycles and when timer was down to one minute, it went back to 14 minutes and never heard any water drain. I then did functions test and received errors f9 e1, f7 e7, f0 e2, f0 e5. I conducted the continuity tests for the drain pump and all tests came back normal. When I did the manual tests and tested the drain, I could here something turn on, but nothing happened or drained. I don't see anything clogged. I replaced the actuator thinking that was why clothes were still ending up wet. It says next thing is to replace main control board. I'm not wanting to spend over $300 for that part, so I was wondering if it could be something else. Is it sure it's not the drain pump?

All those codes could be explained by drain issue so don't buy a control yet.

Drain it by whatever means you can ( a shop vac is my usual method) and pull the pump off the bottom again. Use the 3 5/16 screws it'll give you the best access.

1) look up into tub hole for evidence of something like a blob of lint or a small sock blocking drain and into drain hose for the same. When bobby pins and other similar items get stuck in pump inlet they catch other crap that may or may not be right at the hole.

2) Manually turn pump impeller, if it feels gritty or doesn't have a series of magnetic resistance points as you rotate it change the pump. Check wiring right at the pump plug while you are there.
