Having big problems with stove top burner ignition. History: last year replaced module, worked fine for awhile then started to have difficulty igniting, spark but no flame. Then last week the two right burners didn't ignite at all. I took it apart and cleaned everything. Checked continuity on the spark wires, ground wire from the module and plug to make sure it was grounded. Now nothing sparks. I can hear a tiny spark noise when I turn a knob but not like the sound you hear when it is working properly. I took a piece of wire and screwed it to the frame that holds the burner in place and touched the top of the spark igniter, then turned knob on and it sparked. It only sparked on the side that I had the wire. I moved the wire to the left 2 burners and again I had spark on that side. I remove the wire and no spark. I believe I have a ground problem but not sure where. Or could the igniter not be grounded to where it is screwed in the frame. Or could one of the spark wire be bad. I have seen heat resistant wire on water heaters that lay on the steel drip pan arch even though you don't see any cracks or bare wire. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. If I could I would tie a line to this thing and use it as an anchor. But can't afford to replace. thanks wayne
