Here are your parts Replacement parts for GE DBSR453GA2WW | AppliancePartsPros.comSounds like the centrifugal mechanism in the motor is not working. Cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit online. GE like to keep their techs busy so tech info is hard to come by. On most dryers there are 2 switches that are part of the motor's centrifugal switch assembly. Thet are activated once the motor gets close to operating speed. One closes and gives power to the heat. This ensures that heat cannot come on with the blower not working. The other removes the start winding from the circuit and provides an alternate/parallel circuit path to the motor's main winding. Once the start switch is released this holds the motor on. Perhaps it is just dirty. If the mechanism is broken you need a new motor. |
