Dryer motor runs. timer advances. got 220v to dryer. heater element is ok and not shorted to ground. thermal fuse has continuity. cycling thermostat has two leads on the left and one on the right. farthest one out on left to right one has continuity, the other one to the right one is open. checked it to ground and got1700 ohms resitance. thermal cut off has continuity, door swithc also is good. any idea why no heat. asls ducts are clear

Not very common but your problem is coming from your timer. If everything is ohming out good than one of the contacts in your timer has gone bad. Have you had a power surge or anything do do with faulty electricity happen before your dryer quit heating?

Do you have the wiring diagram for the unit?

I cannot find one so the below is just guesses.

The cycling thermostat may have an internal heater probably the 1700 ohms you measure. This is turned on when you use a low heat cycle. It adds heat to the thermostat so that it cycles more often resulting in less heat from the main heater.
The other two connectors (usually heavier red wires) should be the actual thermostat contacts.

On many units the heater circuit is.
L1
Through a set on contacts in the timer.
Then through a hi-limit thermostat, a thermal cutoff and the cycling thermostat.
Then through the heater
Then through a centrifugal switch on the motor.
