I'm needing to check the thermal fuse on my Kenmore Elite. I'm needing to know how to get to it and if possible how expensive it's going to be to fix? My dryer will not do anything when I set the timer and hit start but I can hear the ticking of the timer when I hit the start button. Please help us!!

You need to open the toe panel for access. Use a putty knife into the top groove of the toe panel to push in on the clips to release them. Check continuity of the fuse. Other possibilities include a broken belt, faulty timer and faulty belt switch. If the thermal fuse is blown, you need to check for excessive lint buildup in all the ducting, internal and external. http://www.appliancepartspros.c...e-3390719-ap3133489.htmlEric
