After a home power failure, the display faded, the went black. The oven still works normally, but no display.:confused:

I can actually see the display when the room is very dark. You mentioned a possible bad capacitor, is it an smt or through hole type?

My latest scenario is that I heard the oven beep a few times and now not even the oven heats up anymore. I believe there is a transformer connected to the control board. What is the output of the transformer? In an earlier response, you wondered about "smt" and "through hole" caps. SMT is "surface mount technology" where parts are soldered on one side of the circuit board and "through hole" would be a resister or cap that has leads pushed through the circuit board solder holes

I went through the power side of the board, both AC on each side of the board including the working thermal fuse. The power to the transformer from the board and the feed back of 24V to the board are fine. I guess for sure this means the controller board needs replacement. Question, on the board there are wires going through black plastic housings, but are difficult to remove. Also, there are 4 red wires with quick disconnect terminals 2 of which have 120. Do you just pull them off or does the black plastic part just pull off with all wires intact? I have a pic of the back of the board, but don't know how to attach it to this message.
