The freezer door (bottom door on french door model) has a loose hinge on the left side. I took the door off of the hinge attachment so I could look at it. The right hinge is still tight and will tilt down, etc., but the left one seems to have the lower prong (some thingy) hanging loose. It doesn't look like anything is broken but I can't figure out how to get it positioned like it is supposed to be. Any help would be appreciated. I can take a pic if it will help.

I finally got some help figuring it out. I'm attaching the picture in case it might help someone else. The trick was that the bottom arm had a little part that you have to open up and connect to the top one with pressure on the spring. This holds it until you get the whole thing into place, at which time the connector is released to hold it in place. Thanks, ron hosscomp attached the following image(s):

I am having a similar issue.....did you have to push on the top lever with spring? I didn't even notice the spring. Did you have trouble keeping the bottom metal piece in place?

Did you have trouble keeping the bottom metal piece in place? Yes. It required some pressure to get it on. A friend of mine got it on and he had to use a screwdriver or something to pop it on. It might help to look at the one that is still working (if it is) to see how it goes. Good luck. Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem, had a repair person here and told us we need a new hinge. Now they are saying the part is unavailable (it is the bottom freezer hinge on the right) I can't afford a new fridge. Does anyone know where I could possibly find this part? I don't know what the part number is! Thank you

Once you have researched the parts screen and have a part number, you may need to review Obsolete or antique Appliance Parts Dealers on the internet. You may get lucky and find what you need there. Get us a complete model number and we will research the part you may need and have a better recommendation. Thanks

Thank you! the model # is LFX25960ST it's an LG. I don't have a part #but it's the bottom freezer door hinge on the right.

If it were available, it would be a complete assembly ( hinges and support arms, etc.) When you start to research use the ACJ number for reference, that's the manufacturers part number, and will cross reference to various part numbers from most parts distributors and their web sites. Good Luck,
