I installed a new water control valve and icemaker and the icemaker appears to be cycling but no water. I checked the tubes and all seem to be free of ice and working. We gave it over a week now. The new icemaker model is RIM Hi-Start 201401. Suggestions appreciated.

When the ice maker goes through a cycle does the water valve activate?

It's unfortunately common, but lots of times the voltage to the icemaker is missing due to a splice failure internal to the fridg. You will need a meter to check.

Disregard that. Put 115 volts to the icemaker water valve in the back. If no water goes to the icemaker, you either have a frozen line or a bad valve.

Thanks for the help. I will listen to the water valve during a cycle. Also, if you can tell me how to apply the 115v to the valve ...
Thanks again

Also, is there a way to trigger a cycle?
