See Pictures. Warm air getting into freezer. Set on "8" [9 is max setting]. First icicles form on door. Ice in Tray melts and fuses together. What I noticed: When dispensing ice, a small door in the dispenser opens to allow the ice out. When finished, the door stays open. A good place to allow warm air into freezer. I have been manually closing that door, to no avail. The insulation around the door looks OK. However, how do I check the efficiency of that?. What could be the problem? gesche444 attached the following image(s):

You will need to order parts to fix the fountain door, but you also may have a leaky water valve in the back of the fridg. Look At the icemaker and see if the water to it is overflowing.

Back to normal. Freezer reads 0 degrees. You are right, the door closer is not working. We blocked the opening. Also cleaned the gasket with hot soapy water. On ordering the door part kit, it appears that the whole assembly has to be ordered. The video on replacing that assembly is for a Whilpool, not a GE Profile PSS26LGRCBB. I will check the freezer out to see if it looks anything like the Whilpool in the video. Thank you.

I would pull up a chair and take apart the fountain housing before ordering parts. Lots of times the tab that retains the door shaft breaks on one side. If so, I drill a hole in the plastic housing and screw in a sheet metal screw to retain it.

Have a GE side by side Model PSS26LGRCBB. Watch several videos on removing the ice dispenser assy. to get at the solenoid. I am trying the first step. One video say this is to remove the mldg around the ice dispenser. It says to push in and the tabs will release. This is not happening. Another video says that the first step is to remove the black control board [push buttons for various operations [type ice, filter, ect.]. Trying to do this the board will not come out. I really need help on this, as I do not want to break anything. Thank you. http://www.********************...-not-working-PSS26LGRCBBhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...sQkr0&feature=relmfu

OK. The trim is off. There seems to be a white sticky tape like around the inside edge. Pulled plug from appliance. Control panel does not want to come off. It seems that there may be screws holding it in-place. If I break this, I will half to answer to my wife :( Not clear how this comes off. Help!!
