My display is going dim and I've read that the control panel needs to be replaced. I removed the side trim but can't seem to figure out how to get the trim off from around the touch panel/control panel. I pulled a little too hard and broke the plastic on the back side of the trim panel (the part that houses the touch panel) where it screws into the control panel. I know I can fix it if I can just get behind the panel.

I read this but it's not for my model:

Please help!

I also can't remove the control panel portion. I have the side trim removed and the two screw holding the control panel section in place. There must be a trick to removing the top section.

Unfortunately, I have already read this manual. It doesn't seem to want to come off as described in the manual.

Mashmaster - did you ever figure out how to get the trim pieces off? I'm in the same boat!

Yes, I had to have a repair guy come out. The manual is incorrect which is frustrating. But you need to remove the trim, then the for screws that hold the oven flush to the cabinet. Slide the oven out maybe 2-3 inches. There are two screws on top of the control panel that hold it in place. After that is dissassembles easily.

Mashmaster -- your commission on my savings will be in the mail shortly! I slid the oven out, undid the screws and voila! 35 minutes later, I have a working oven! Hip hip, horray! I even called a very nice local repairman who probably thought I was an idiot for not seeing the "screws that should be right there under the trim." He would have charged me $79 just to show up.

I am forever thankful! Have a wonderful weekend!
