My refrigerator is freezing food even at the lowest setting and the freezer is just fine. The first symptom was the water line dispenser froze and then many things in my fridge. In a previous post I saw a suggestion to check the part below to see if it is working properly. I see something of a similar shape with similar vents at the top left of my refrigerator. Can someone tell me how do I check this? Thanks!

If you go to the Sears parts site they have part breakdown diagrams.
Also there is a wiring diagram but it is difficult to read.

Below is a manual which may help.

If you hold an ice cube at the end of the damper control thermostat's capillary, it should close.
