the timer appears to get stuck about half way thur the wash cycle. The machine continues to run but will just stay there. If i manually turn past the point where it sticks then the machine finishes washing fine. The place where it gets stuck is at approximatley 7 o'clock on the dial. Thanks for any help

Most likely it was paused for the water heating and if incoming water temperature is much lower than required 120° - it could take more then two hours to finish the cycle.

For any further questions I need the complete model number of the dishwasher.

Hi, I have the same issue with Frigidair Dishwasher, Model #: FDBB240FB0. The dishwasher is about 2 years old. It used to take about an hour and a half, but now it takes over 2.5 hours. Is it an issue with a timer? If a timer is a problem, is there any way to repair the timer, since the new ones are over $100. Thanks

Most likely the problem is a faulty water heater or the high limit thermostat. You have to check them for continuity.

Hi Gene, how can I tell if it's a faulty water heater or the high limit thermostat? Also, now there seems to be a problem with the soap dispenser, when the cycle completes, there is still soap running down... Thanks

As I said previously, you have to check them for continuity.

The problem with the dispenser could be because of cold water or old soap.

The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter - How To Check Continuity With Ohmmeter

Mike,

The thermostat shown as #29 on the diagram. It's located under the tub on the left side.
