We have been in a national flood area here in NW Indiana & I have lost all service documents. I believe the motor on my dishwasher is bad but have tried to remove it and don't seem to be able to get it out once I give it the apparent 1/8- 1/4 turn indicated. Is there something else to do after getting it free to turn. The motor just hums when current is applied. For several weeks since we got back in our house it has had the sound of a bad bearing when running. That has led me to conclude the motor needs replacing.

The first thing I would do before replacing any parts is to check the chopper assembly. You can find the complete instructions in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...hirlpool-dishwasher.html

Post the results.
