I need to replace the inner glass on the door of the lower oven.
Is it necessary to remove the door to do this on this particular model?
I have seen instructions for removing the door on other models by inserting removal pins or unlatching retaining clips on the hinges, but this model (late '97/ early '98) has neither of those, and I can't see any other obvious mechanism to get the door off. I'm a little concerned about dismantling the door in place in the open position. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, the door should be removed from the unit before trying to work on it. I then lay it on a blanket or towel on a table or counter with the handle over the side of the table so it lays flat. Here is a link yo the operators manual it has info on removing the door. http://www.whirlpool.com/digita...0Guide%20-%204451952.pdf |
