Our Electrolux range is 1 1/2 years old. We are receiving an error code 15.

What is wrong?

Thanks
Robert

Thanks Chris.......The error code is E 15...not F 15....is there a difference?

I have replaced the Control Board #316576610 and the Relay Board

#316442115 but still have the same problem. Is there something else

I should do?

Thanks

Chris, thanks for your help. Just one more question. We replaced the

OVEN relay board and the electronic OVEN control board. Both of these

boards pertain to the OVEN, right? Our oven works fine, it's the

cooktop that does not work. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi, Robert. I have the same problem. I have replaced the ESEC Relay board and ESEC 30 UIB, but it still showed E15. Can you tell me how to solve it if you have solved it. Thank you very much!

Shenww.....No, we have not solved the problem. Unfortunately, we bought
the stove in Houston and had it shipped to Costa Rica. Guess what? No
service available in the country. The service people here for other brands
will not touch it.

I have been in touch with customer service at Electrolux, but they only tell
you what is put in front of them....no real service training. I can not get
passed the customer service people to talk to a engineer or quality control
person.

If you live in the States try and get to an engineer at Electrolux and post
their answer....surely we are not the only two people with this problem.
They have to have documentation on what they did to solve this problem
other than what is in the manual.

If I don't find out something in the next two months, I am throwing this stove away and buying something local.

Please post if you find out something.

Thanks

The technician has replaced the ESEC 30 UIB, ESEC Relay board, and checked harness and connections between these two boards, but it keeps showing Error 15.

I have read the service data sheet, J4 of the ESEC Relay board connects to the hot surface limiter of the cooktop, it' Ok. And P1-P14 of the ESEC Relay board output signals to control the elements of the cooktop, I don't think it effect the Relay board even if these are malfunctions. So the cooktop can't make the ESEC30 UIB showing Error 15.

Now the technician said I have to replace the touch panel, and it's approximate $930, and he can't guarantee it will be OK. Can you tell me how to make sure the touch panel is OK before I buy a new one?

Hi, Robert. Thank you for your reply. I'm in Canada. This range is one year warranty. My range is bought by the builder of my new house at June 2010. So Electrolux doesn't provide any repair service to me. The technician have been here three times to repair it, and I have spent proximate C$500, but the problem is still there. Now the technician said I should buy a $930 new touch panel, but he didn't guarantee it will be OK. So I don't want to pay more to repair it.

I have studied the service data sheet, I think there is problem in the touch panel. I guess it's a common problem for these types of Electrolux range,
but Electrolux doesn't want to be responsible for this after the warranty date.

Thanks Shenww.....What you have gone thru tells me "they" don't know
what's wrong. That also tells me that I will "junk" the stove and buy local.
I'm glad you got on the forum....your info helped me make my final
decision. Good luck.
