Background....
- Up to two weeks ago the fridge was working fine.
- Then the fridge started to get very cold and ice started to form in the milk.
- One week ago the fridge was warm milk definitely was not cold.
- I did some checking on the internet and saw that the damper could be an issue.
- Definitely no cold air coming through the damper.
- Ran the diagnostics and everything checked out the themistors fridge & freezer gave green light. Got a compact mirror and saw that the damper would open and close but was not smooth in the process.
- Could gently pry the damper open with a butter knife and feel some air but never felt a lot of air coming through.

Last Thursday...
- Unpluged fridge and washed the freezer down.
- Took off the back panel and not build up of ice.
- Made sure the air flow was not blocked from the freezer to the fridge via damper.
- Put the freezer back together
- Cleaned the back where the compressor is.
- Coils in front were dirty and used a vacuum in reverse to blow it clean had dust everywhere LOL
- I plugged it in and almost immediately the freezer dropped to a cold temperature and started making ice again.
- Air flow in the freezer is good.
- The fridge started to get cold and had good air flow.
- Everything seemed back on track.
- I also noticed the air flow is strong again.

Yesterday...
- Fridge is starting to warm up again.
- Freezer is working well and still makes ice and everything is frozen.
- Milk is warm again.
- Noticed no air flow in fridge
- Airflow in freezer is good
- I noticed the Damper is closed again and I could gently pry it open and started air flow just not as strong.
- Current temperature in freezer after 1 minute on an instant read termometer is -6.5 with a setting of -5 on the control panel
- Current temperature in fridge after 1 minute on an instant read termometer is +41 with a setting of +33 on the control panel

Question...

With no ice on the coils and the damper not staying open could it be a faulty damper? and if so, should I also replace the fridge thermostat?

Any other thoughts?
