Bottom element only worked part time. Broil element works fine. Replace bottom element. No change. If it is in the control panel, do i need the whole panel or just the component behind the panel. Any help appreciated..Model # correction...PLEB30S9FCA

Bottom element only worked part time. Not sure what you mean. An element will not be on all the time as it is controlled by the oven sensor temperature. Also most units will switch back and forth between the bake and broil elements when in preheat and bake modes. This provides a more even temperature gradient in the oven.
What if any other symptoms do you have? |

Sorry. Should have been more clear. Bottom element stopped working but broil element would still work even during pre-heat however oven would not get to temperature setting. Changed bottom element and the element still does not get hot. When I changed the element it heated up momentarily the first time i used it. After that nothing.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire PLEB30S9FCA Wall Oven - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the wiring diagram. http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...assomption/318046235.pdfFirst I would remove power from the unit and pull the bake element. Then check it with a meter, Just in case it blew as soon as power was applied to it. If OK then check that the wires to the element are OK. Check that the connections and soldering on the control board to the bake element are OK. If they are OK then odds are high that the control board is toast. Since it stays in preheat the board is getting the correct temperature reading from the oven sensor but for some reason is not turning on the bake element. |
