My ice maker will not turn off automatically like it's supposed to. It just keeps making ice which overflows the bin. I thought the arm was working, but my son thinks it isn't. If that is the cause of the problem, can that part be easily replaced?

Hello Rhonda, If the bail arm in the upper position would not turn the ice maker off, the best and easiest solution is to replace the ice maker. - The ice maker Part number: 5304458371

Gene, how do you remove the ice maker unit? Mine isn't producing any ice at all (although the water dispense works), and I want to remove/replace/repair it. But I have no idea how to remove it. Can you give me any insight into that? Thanks in advance!

Gene. FRS26LF7DSR Do you need any more info than that? Thanks! Oh, and is there any way to access the water tube that feeds water into the maker? I had to get ice that was blocking it, and I hear the mechanism trying to feed water into it, but it never works. I'm wondering if there's more ice beyond the point where I can reach it...

I have this issue, the arm does not automatically go up when the bin is full. I can put it up and it will stop making ice and then I have to put it back down to start it making ice again.
