I have a Kenmore Elite Smartheat Quitepak9 gas dryer. It will only work if I keep switching from pushing the start button to pause button and so on. Eventually it will start but only runs for a bit then I have to repeat the whole process. I order a thermal fuse but did not work. PLEASE HELP

ran diagnostics no errors. Ran test for moisture sensor and it failed. Took apart the sensors and cleaned them up and now it passes. Any other ideas anybody. Thermistor test passed as well.

Hello.

Most likely the problem is with main control board

Part number: 8546219
Part number: 8546219

Remove it and check the solderind at the back. Possibly one of the relay's contacts needs a drop of solder.
If not then try to replace the control board.

Post ther results.

Simon.

P.S. You can return the part if it's not going to fix the problem.
