My GE dryer had an uncontrollable squeaking. I thought it was the rear assembly but it turns out I think it was the front glide because the plastic glide was missing a section thus making the drum rub against some wires. After using it to fluff up some clothes, sparks flew out. I replaced the glide and the rear assembly was still good. After turning the power back on, the dryer won't start but there's power to the dryer. Is it not starting due to those wires being exposed and arcing? Is it repairable?

JPG, Yes, if the wire harness was rubbing against the drum, the wires could be damaged and shorted (the arcing/sparks). The door switch circuit has to be completed in order for the dryer to start and run, so you'll need to check and repair the wires to the door switch, using wire cutters and shrink wrap or bullet connectors, and make sure the wires are secured in the retainer clip before you start the dryer again.
