I purchased this dishwasher (Whirlpool Gold-Quiet Partner lll) at a Fe....... showroom remodel sale about 6-7 years ago, and I recently installed it after our old dishwasher died. It appears to have been used in their showroom, so I would guess it is not "brand new" but probably saw limited use. Upon closing the door, the only indication of the dishwasher working is when I push the CANCEL/DRAIN button the unit comes on for two minutes, and it starts the drain cycle. The digital timer readout displays an incomplete "2" (the top of the 2 is missing) and then it times down to "1", and then it turns off. At this point, the AccuSense button lights up when pressed (also, the HEATED DRY button lights up at this time), but when I press Start nothing happens. At this time, the digital time display does not read any time (--). If I push CANCEL/DRAIN numerous times the panel clears (all of the lights turn off). At this point the CANCEL/Drain works (but nothing else) and counts down 2 minutes and then the unit shuts down.
I have tried to reset the dishwasher by depressing the heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal sequence, but this does not appear to reset the control panel.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
