This is a glass top stand alone range.
After a self-cleaning cycle, the oven didn't come up to set temperature a couple of times and then seemed to self-correct.
On the next self-cleaning cycle, the same thing happened, the oven kind of works but is not working properly....it doesn't come up to full temperature. But this time the large element no longer works and the light for that element won't go off even when turned to OFF.
I've heard this is common and that these ovens are being sold with self-cleaning features that basically ruin the overn.
Is there two different problems going on now or just one? What part(s) do I need to replace here?

Whoops, I was meaning that the large element on the stovetop is no longer working, not the oven element (though the oven is not heating up)

More likely the problem is a bad switch for this burner but there is a chance for the heating element to be bad as well. The best way to find out which part has to be replaced is to check them for continuity. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool KERC500HWH2 Range - AppliancePartsPros.comGene.

Sometimes the oven heats to the right temperature and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it only heats to half the temperate set. But this only happened right after a self-clean cycle.

I was roasting some vegetables and they never browned or cooked properly just shrivelled up. I roast veggies frequently so I knew something was wrong. I have two oven thermometers and they were both registering 200 when the oven was set to 425. Then the next time I used the oven, it worked. Then then next two times the temperature was not coming up to what I set it to again. Like that. And this happened after a self clean cycle.
