When preheating oven it makes puffing sounds and takes a long time to preheat. Almost an hour to reach temp and signal that it is preheated

Hi.

Next time when you will use the oven open the bottom drawer and watch it's performance. How it's igniting the burner: how long it takes to light the gas, is the burner lights up completely?

Post the results.

Simon.

Simon,
I turned oven on ,igniter lights, two minutes later oven lights with a very short flame around bar. not even a quarter of an inch in length. after a minute fame goes out then bursts of gas is despensed causing the puffing sound and dancing flames. Flame does not stay on constant. Is there a regulater that tells amount of gas to be released?

Hi.

Did you try the broil? If the broil works fine then check the amperage draw at the bake ignitor. If it's less than 3.2 Amp - replace the ignitor.
In case if you don't have the amp meter switch the broil ignitor with bake and then try it.
If it'll work - replace the ignitor.

The ignitor Part number: WB13K21
Part number: WB13K21

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

Simon I tried to switch the broil igniter, but it had a plug vs oven which had wire nuts. watching the broil one work then the oven igniter I do think it is the igniter. I just ordered the igniter through your company. Should have it in a couple days, and I will let you know how I make out.

Simon,
Thank you for your help. With your help, and buying the part from appliance Pro I saved close to fifty dollars.
